Helen Cartwright cosplay

So I decided to cosplay as Helen Cartwright from N!ghts : Journey of Dreams to this year's Summer of Sonic. Started playing this game last summer and I really, really enjoyed it, its totally under-rated in my opinion... Why did I choose to cosplay as Helen? Well, the fact she was called Helen and is from London helped! Aside from that she's a sassy Sega chick who's set of levels basically represent JOD : Hard Mode, so she's pretty badass.

I know this costume is far from perfect, but I'm quite happy with how it turned out!

What I feel I got right

~ the hair
~ the colours
~ similiar violin
~ shoes not spot on, but I managed to find a pair that were alot closer than I thought I'd find. And they were only £7!

What I got wrong

~ the fact I wasn't wearing an actual blazer
~ the details on said-blazer
~ her outfit is full of frills, which mine is devoid of
~ the skirt was the wrong material.
~ the leggings were too long

I failed epically in the cosplay contest, but some young N!ghts fans recognised me, and *iMAGNi even came over and complimented my outfit, which was an absolute honour! I must say the sparkliness of the nightsintodreams.com community was one of my main motivations to sit down and play JOD in the first place!
It was also nice to be able to talk about N!ghts this time, as talking about Sonic non-stop for an entire weekend can get a bit much!

I also had the N!ghts keyring I made out of Hama beads attached to my violin case, but it fell off somewhere! I shall need to make another >
